Sports activities are an integral part of character development at CCCS. Christians are commanded to be different from the world around them, this includes athletics (Isaiah 55:8-9). Jesus Christ is to be the center of all our attention, both on and off the athletic field. We are to have His attitude, actions and mindset (Phil. 2:5, Rom. 8:29). We are to do everything as unto the Lord and not as unto men (Col. 3:23). As with all of our curriculum, integrating the Word of God is our highest priority; whether it be academics, arts, or athletics. CCCS offers an Intramural Sports program for Middle School students. Intramurals are a great way to promote physical activity in a fun yet competitive environment, all in the safety of our own “backyard”.
For the ’10/11 school year, your Middle School student will have the opportunity to participate in: hockey, flag football, volleyball, dodge ball, and soccer. Teams are not co-ed. See below for registration and scheduling information.
Intramural Sports – Fall Season Parent Information:
Dear Parents,
I am looking forward to an amazing year of Intramural Sports. The first sports that we will be participating in this year, are Football for Boys and Volleyball for Girls. If you would like your child to sign up for any of these sports, please pick up a registration form in the Elementary/Middle School or Athletic Office. Please turn in the registration form to either office along with your check. The cost for each sport is $10 and includes one t-shirt per season. The last day to sign up is Wednesday, September 8. We will announce the teams at our first meeting on Friday, September 10. I am so excited to see what God has in store for us this year. Notes to Parents:
Dear Parents, Please remember to pick your child up at the game site or at Daycare. We will not allow athletes to walk to the parking lot to meet up with parents. As soon as a game has ended, we will walk the remaining students who have not been picked up, to daycare. Please refer to the CCCS Daycare Policy Intramural Sports. Also, please remember to send your child to school with a water bottle and sunblock on practice or gamedays.
