Our Faculty

Miss Jones is beginning her third year as a teacher in the Middle School. She recently obtained her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master Degree in Teaching at Whittier College. She currently teaches 6th grade English, Science and World History.

Miss Fidanze has been teaching drama at Calvary Chapel Christian School for 15 years. She joined the faculty after hearing an announcement in the bulletin and being prompted by friends that this was the job for her! Miss Fidanze enjoys being with the students, working on plays and watching the shy ones blossom, while watching the drama team working together to glorify God. Miss Fidanze holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a minor in Sociology.

Miss Mendez is an alumnus of CCCS, attending Calvary from Kindergarten through 12th grade. She is currently working on her Bachelor of Science degree from Vanguard University in Sports Medicine, with an emphasis in Athletic Training/Kinesiology. Vanessa and her family have been in fellowship at Calvary Downey for over 20 years where she currently serves in the High School Ministry. This will be her sixth year teaching Science in the Middle School. Along with teaching, Miss Mendez advises the Middle School ASB Student Leadership group, chairs the CCEA Student Leadership Conference, & coaches the High School Cheer team.

Mr. Chavez earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Hope International University. He has also received a Masters degree in Educational Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. He has served in the ministry at CCCS for well over a decade. He currently teaches Bible, Math, and Physical Education at our middle school.

Mr. Cuneo has a Bachelors degree in Music and a California Teachers Credential from California State University of Los Angeles as well as a Masters Degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University. With 37 years as a professional musician and 27 years as a music educator, Mr. Cuneo teaches instrumental music classes for Kindergarten through 12th grade. He has been with the CCCS family for 5 years.

Thomas Osburn II (Coach T.O.) earned a Behavioral Science degree from National University. Mr. Osburn is fondly referred to as Coach T.O. with our students and has worked at Calvary Chapel Christian School for the last 9 years. Coach T.O. teaches P.E. to the Middle School in addition to coaching at the high school level, Women's Volleyball, Men's Basketball and Softball.

Mrs. Advincula received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Master’s in Political Science at the University of the Philippines. She has a total of 19 years of teaching experience, 11 of those here at Calvary Chapel Christian School. She currently teaches multiple subjects in our middle school and is the Assistant Master Teacher, working alongside Mrs. Cross.

Mrs. Boglione is currently in her 12th year of teaching at Calvary Chapel Christian School. Having earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from California State University, Los Angeles, she was a member of the CCCS High School Math Department for a number of years. Beginning with the 2006-07 school year, she moved from the Math Department to the Fine Arts Department where she is now the Culinary Arts instructor.

Carrie Cross has been a student of God's Word under the teaching of Pastor Jeff at CCD for twenty-three years and has taught English to middle school students at CCCS for the past twelve years. Her desire to never stop growing as an educator has led her to take part in ongoing training with attendance to several writing workshops and a variety of seminars designed to enrich the instructional environment in her classroom. Mrs. Cross is the Master Teacher for our Middle School.

Susan Zamora has been ministering at CCCS for fifteen years. She is currently teaching both elementary and middle school girls physical education in addition to middle school Girls' Bible. Mrs. Zamora is also heavily involved in our “Girls for God” discipleship with our middle school girls. She also spends countless hours coordinating weekly trips to Camp Pendleton with our students, baking cookies, and showing the love of Christ to our military personnel there.

Pastor Dustin Linenberger is a graduate of Calvary Chapel Christian School, as well as Calvary Chapel Murrieta Bible College. Pastor Dustin has been involved in youth ministry at Calvary Chapel Downey for more than 8 years, where he currently serves as an assistant pastor and teaches the Jr. High first service on Sundays. He has been a teacher at Calvary Chapel Christian School for the past 8 years. Currently, he teaches 6th grade Bible and history, along with 8th grade history.
