The Student Shadowing Program is designed to give prospective high school students the opportunity to join us for Chapel in addition to observing classes and student life up close for a half day.  Visiting students are paired with a trained CCCS student who will act as their host for the time they are on campus.

Appointments for shadowing are made on a first-come-first-served basis and can be scheduled by contacting Sharon Armstrong at sarmstrong@calvarydowney.org or 562.803.4076 x335.  Prior to scheduling your appointment, please take a moment to review our Parent and Student qualifications for enrollment.

Shadowing is available on most Mondays during the school year, please contact Sharon Armstrong for specifics.

Have your visiting student arrive in CCCS dress standard on campus by 7:45am to our High School office on their shadowing day.  Please complete the Medical Release Form prior to arriving at school and bring a hard copy with you.  After signing in, your shadowing student will be introduced to his/her host student and they will head off to chapel together.  Please note that school policy prohibits cell phones in our classrooms, if your child would like to bring their cell phone, we will keep it in the office until the end of their visit.

In addition to chapel and one core class, your child will have the opportunity to observe one elective class.  Please review this list of electives and follow the instructions.  Once we have this information, we will do our best to schedule your student in an elective which is of interest to them.

Shadowing students will be ready for pick-up after their 2nd clsss dismisses at 12:20pm.  An administrator can be scheduled to answer any questions you or your child may have following the visit.  Just let us know ahead of time if you would like to schedule an appointment so we can be certain to have one of our experienced and knowledgeable administrators available for you.
