High School is offered Culinary Arts 1, 2, 3, and 4. The areas covered range from cooking vocabulary, the proper names and uses of utensils, kitchen safety, food-borne illnesses, correctly reading, interpreting and writing recipes, proper table settings, to the actual hands-on preparation of foods in our Culinary Arts (Laboratory) Kitchen.
Culinary Arts 3 & 4 classes award students the opportunity to learn more labor-intensive food preparation techniques. They also learn the art of food service as well as the procedures for properly freezing foods (for storage purposes), and canning of foods.
