Greg Higashi

Jamie McCauley

Ms. McCauley teaches Yearbook, Photography, and Junior High Art Classes.  With her Associates of Art degree and experience in Film, Cinematography, Writing and Art Production, she will bring great expertise to these areas of our school.  She has worked for CBS Studios, as well as working as a professional photographer.  We are excited to see God use her to minister to our students. jmccauley@calvarydowney.org

Aracely Mendoza

Mrs. Mendoza is the Culinary Arts teacher for our Junior High and High School students.  She has served our school as a substitute teacher for the last 7 years.  During the past 2 years, she has budgeted, planned, and prepared meals for 100 people when taking our students on mission trips to the orphanage 3-4 times a year.  She is excited to teach our students how to prepare meals and learn about the food industry.  Mrs. Mendoza is also a business owner and uses her experience to teach the students valuable lessons.  Most importantly, she loves the Lord and strives to encourage the students to seek Him in everything they do. amendoza@calvarydowney.org

Adrian Reynaga

This will be Mr. Reynaga's 3rd year at CCCS.  He has worked in the Athletic Department as a head and assistant coach in multiple sports and grade levels.  This school year, Mr. Reynaga will be teaching Physical Education as well as Wood Shop.  He has a background in Vocational Education and is very excited and eager to continue using the gifts the Lord has given him. rreynaga@calvarydowney.org

Antoinette Duran

Mrs. Duran earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Biblical & Theological Studies from Biola University as well as a Master of Arts degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University.  Mrs. Duran is currently working on a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in K-12 Leadership from Grand Canyon University.  Mrs. Duran teaches 8th grade History, 11th grade U.S. History, and ECP History where students receive dual credit for high school and college.  In addition to teaching, Mrs. Duran is our High School Varsity Cheering Coach. aduran@calvarydowney.org

Daniel Lopez

Daniel Lopez is an alumnus of CCCS, graduating in the class of 2006.  During his time at Calvary, he wrestled for the school and later volunteered as an assistant coach after High School graduation. Mr. Lopez earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from California State University, Fullerton.  He has taught History, Math, and Science for the Junior High School, as well as Algebra II for the High School.  Mr. Lopez currently teaches Algebra I and Physics, and is also the head wrestling coach for both the High School team and Junior High program. dlopez@calvarydowney.org

Andrew Hernandez

Andrew Hernandez is an alumnus of CCCS.  He holds a Music in Worship Bachelor of Science degree from Biola University, with an emphasis in Piano Performance.  At CCCS, he played in the Worship Band, the Marching/Pep Band and in the Jazz Band.  Andrew has been a worship leader for many years and has helped train young worship teams in the LA area.  He has taught private music lessons in piano, guitar, bass, drums and saxophone for over 10 years. In addition to overseeing the High School and Junior High worship teams,  he is the director for the Elementary Band and JH/HS Band and teaches the contemporary piano/guitar class as well. ahernandez@calvarydowney.org

Bob Kemblowski

Coach Kemblowski is a retired L.A.S.D. Deputy. He worked for the Sheriff's Department for 31 years. As a Deputy he competed in weight-lifting competitions for over 20 years, receiving numerous awards and breaking several state and world records.  He has attended Calvary Chapel Downey for many years. Dr. Kristi Young-Goodner

Dr. Young-Goodner grew up here at CCCS, attending from kindergarten through her senior year. She then went on to earn her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education at Biola University. Dr. Young-Goodner came to our faculty as the Director of Choral Activities in the 04/05 school year, while completing her Master’s in Education at Biola. Dr. Young-Goodner holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University. In addition, she has a California teaching credential and is a member of WASC. Monica Manjarrez

Amy Harris

Miss Amy Harris earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology with a Minor in Theological Studies from Biola University. She was a staff teacher’s assistant in both the Junior High and High School Math and Science Departments here at CCCS for the 2015-2016 school year and has since taught Fundamentals of Math, Biology, Life Science and Physical Science.  Miss Harris is currently teaching Biology, Honors Biology, and ECP Anatomy and Physiology while pursuing her single subject Teaching Credential and Master's Degree in Education from Hope International University.  She is eager to share her passion for God and science with her students. aharris@calvarydowney.org

Rhodora Brouillette

Rhodora Brouillette graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelors Degree in Education, and she also completed her Masters Degree in Special Education-teaching the deaf and hard of hearing children (MA-SPED HI),  from the Philippine Normal University. She has been involved in the sign language profession as a SPED Teacher and Sign Language Interpreter  as well as a Cued Speech Transliterator for the deaf and hard of hearing students for many years.  Ms. Brouillette has vast experience in teaching children with disabilities in various countries.  She teaches ASL I-II-III and Academic High School Enrichment Classes here at CCCS. rbrouillette@calvarydowney.org

Marlene Paltza

Mrs. Marlene Paltza is the piano teacher for elementary, junior high and high school students. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Calvary Chapel Bible College, and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Christian Education from Calvary Chapel University. She has taught worship keyboard at Calvary Chapel Bible College and has had her own business teaching piano for over 25 years. Chad Naaktgeboren

Pastor Chad has been a Calvary Chapel Pastor for over 15 years and is new to our faculty this year.  Pastor Chad received the Lord here at Calvary Chapel Downey and then served for many years in the Junior High School ministry.  He then moved to Whittier and became the Associate Pastor at First Love Calvary Chapel.  From there the Lord spoke, and in 2007 Chad, along with his wife and 4 children, took a step of faith and moved to Johannesburg, South Africa where they planted and led Calvary Chapel Johannesburg.  With a successful handover to a faithful South African Pastor, the Naaktgeboren family has returned home and is excited to get plugged back into the family here a CCD.  Pastor Chad will serve as the High School Bible teacher and as an on-staff Pastor. cnaaktgeboren

Sheila Rodriguez

Sheila Rodriguez earned a Bachelors Degree in Art with an emphasis in Drawing and Painting as well as a Masters of Fine Art from Long Beach State University.  She has shown her work at several galleries and museums across the U.S. including the Museum of Latin American Art and the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art.  Mrs. Rodriguez is excited to be teaching AP Art, Sculpture, Drawing, Painting, Jr. High Art and 8th Grade English this year. srodriguez@calvarydowney.org

Mr. Patrick Chadwell

Mr. Chadwell earned an Associate of Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from National Education Center in Commerce, CA.  He and his family have been attending CCD for almost two decades, where he has served in various ministries.  Mr. Chadwell is currently the overseer of the "Christian Essentials" ministry and has also taught new believers for 16 years.  He and his wife also serve in the "One Accord" marriage ministry.  Mr. Chadwell was a professional in the security industry for over 20 years before coming to CCCS in 2013, where he has served for 4 years as a JH/HS teacher, including boys Physical Education, JH World and U.S. History, Wood Shop, and Culinary Arts.  Mr. Chadwell currently teaches in the Bible Department for both JH and HS, and leads the "Chosen Generation" JH boys' discipleship group.  He has also served as the head coach of the HS boys' basketball program, and assistant coach for the HS boys' baseball program. pchadwell@calvarydowney.org

Miss Patty Fidanza

Miss Fidanza has been teaching drama for Junior High and High School at CCCS for almost two decades. She joined the faculty after hearing an announcement in the bulletin and being prompted by friends that this was the job for her! Miss Fidanza enjoys being with the students, working on plays and watching the shy ones blossom, while watching the drama team work together to glorify God. Mr. Steve Jahnkow

Steve Jahnkow earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of La Verne. He has served at CCCS numerous years as a Middle and High School teacher in various subjects. Mr. Jahnkow teaches 12th grade Bible, an in depth study of the book of Revelation, Apologetics, and is the head coach of the baseball program.  He is currently serving as the school's Master Teacher Overseer, and is the Master Teacher over History, Language, Vocational and Bible Departments.  Mr. Jahnkow has also served as a Pastor, Assistant Principal, Athletic Director and has coached HS basketball and football programs. sjahnkow@calvarydowney.org

Tim Osterhoudt

Tim Osterhoudt earned a Master's of Engineering Degree in Process Engineering from California State University at Pomona. Michelle Perkins

Michelle Perkins attended CCCS for Junior High and High School; she played volleyball and basketball, as well as competed in shot put and high jump in track & field.  Miss Perkins then went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Mathematics, along with her Multiple-Subject and Single-Subject Teaching Credentials. Currently, Miss Perkins is teaching Geometry and Physical Science.  She has also coached volleyball at CCCS since 2002 and continues to coach the Junior High girls’ volleyball team.
