Christmas Tree Sale Incentive Winners!

Thank you to all who participated in helping to make this year’s Christmas tree fundraiser a success. With the help of nearly 25% of our families, together we raised just a little over $9,000.00! WOW, imagine what we could have raised if we would have had 100% of our families participating.

We would like to congratulate our top selling student Samuel Vergel from Pre-School who, with the help of his family sold $550.00 in product. Samuel and his family will be awarded the $250.00 tuition credit as well as receive a $50 American Express Gift Card for being the Early Bird Incentive winner. Thank you Samuel!

A special thank you, to Mrs. Cross’ Homeroom class! Together 14 students brought in $2,235.00 in product sales and will be enjoying a day off of school work at Knott’s Berry Farm. Thank you Mrs. Cross for your enthusiasm towards this year’s Grizzly Christmas Tree Lot!

We’re planning for the upcoming Spring Fundraiser where our goal is to raise $60,000 to purchase iPads for our teachers and supply them with the in-depth training they will need to use these remarkable tools effectively in our classrooms.

HS Special Schedule

High School will be on a special schedule one day of each month from Jan-May. Students will not report to homeroom on 1/27; 2/17; 3/30; 4/16; 5/18 to allow for Communion/Prayer time at the end of the day. You can review the specifics here.

Operation Toasty Christmas – Thanks from DCFS

The County of Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) sent us a thank you letter recently for hosting the “Operation Toasty Christmas” event. All in all, we ministered to over 200 children and their families. They participated in crafts, cupcake decorating, basketball, and romped in the jumpers. The families watched a show from the Straight up Puppet team, the Glad Scientist and a hip hop dance team from Calvary Chapel Inglewood. Many, many of the children came forward to accept Jesus into their hearts…God was truly glorified! Take a moment to read the letter from DCFS…and thank you to everyone for your participation, donations, and prayers.

OPERATION TOASTY CHRISTMAS – Success!

We ministered to over 200 children last Saturday. They participated in crafts, cupcake decorating, bouncers and played basketball. They and their parents watched a show from the Straight – Up Puppet team, the Glad Scientist and a hip hop dance team from Calvary Chapel of Inglewood.

Everything was designed for fun but more importantly it was to express the love The Father has for these precious little ones. Of course, watching their faces light up as they received the jackets / blankets was amazing but the true highlight of the day was seeing over 100 children accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior when the Glad Scientist gave the altar call. He did such a great job explaining the gospel message to their hearts. GOD was truly glorified.

You have truly blessed these children, their families and the Heart of The Father with your generous giving.

Thank you for the demonstration of your faith In Jesus.

FRESH & EASY RECEIPT COLLECTION

Just a reminder the Fresh & Easy receipt collection continues through December 31st. We had a great Shopping Night last week…Fresh & Easy should be sending us the amount we earned sometime next week. We’ll get that info out to you as soon as we have it. For now, be encouraged we have earned more than $600 in rebates from our receipt collection so far! Great job everyone…keep it comin’ for a few more weeks.

FRESH & EASY SHOPPING NIGHT UPDATE

Thanks to everyone who came out to volunteer, collect receipts, or just to shop! We had a great event…the kids had a wonderftul time and we collected A LOT of receipts! For our Shop for Schools night alone, we collected receipts totalling $7,058. We will get a rebate of $1 for every $20 in collected receipts. That’s $353 from receipts collected at the store last Thursday! Great job everyone…remember we will also receive a check from Fresh & Easy for 5% of the sales during our 4-8pm shopping time. We’ll let you know what that turns out to be once we find out. For now…keep those receipts coming. The receipt collection continues until December 31st!
